Binding ability has been shown to be over the 80% level within the first minute. This is 3 to 5 times the level of regular dietary chitosans. This means that it is able to work much, much, sooner than regular chitosan. The capsule can be taken at mealtime and still be effective.
This binding ability stays active while in the stomach (typically 1 - 1 ½ hours). Functions as a great soluble dietary fiber.
