Doesn't it make more sense to send to people that you know are interested?
Doesn't it make more sense to not have your mail filtered before they even receive it? ( My mail program automatically filters anything with the same send to address as the sent by address)
Doesn't it make more sense for you to be able to receive an answer, than for them to get an undeliverable mail return?
If you don't agree with the above, think about this:
- It takes the same time to make up a catchy message no matter how you send it.
- It takes the same time to individually send a message to 100 people as it takes to load your program with 1000 pre selected e-mail addresses (approx.1/2 hour)
- The return on 100 sent the proper way is an average of 27 people. The return on the mass email sent randomly is maybe .2 if you are lucky.
- This means that you must send to over 150,000 to get the same results as you get from a properly sent e-mail.
