First of all, plant enzymes are active in a broad pH range of 2 to 12 and temperature ranges of 75 to 122^oF, well within the human body's normal temperature and pH ranges.
Animal enzymes do not activate until they reach the higher pH of the small intestinal tract so they are not going to be very effective at aiding your body in pre-digestion or be active in the upper alkaline portion of your stomach.
